Specialized chemical additives are at the heart of preventive maintenance and the efficient operation of industrial boilers (steam generation systems) and refrigeration circuits. Their targeted application is designed to fundamentally prevent the three main risks threatening the facilities: corrosion of metal surfaces, hard scale build up and microbial growth (such as algae and bacteria in open circuits). Proper chemical treatment of the water ensures optimal heat transfer and maximizes the system’s energy efficiency. At the same time, operating costs are drastically reduced and equipment lifespan is significantly extended, protecting the business from unforeseen breakdowns and costly downtime.

Depending on the specific characteristics of each facility and the quality of the feed water, we implement a specialized chemical treatment program. The main categories of products used are:

  • Αντικαθαλατωτικά & Διασπαρτικά: They prevent the formation of hard deposits (such as calcium and magnesium salts) on critical heat exchange surfaces. At the same time, they keep suspended particles and sludge in constant suspension so that they can be easily removed during system cleaning (flushing), maintaining high energy efficiency.

  • Δεσμευτικά Οξυγόνου: They serve as the first line of defense for steam generation systems (boilers). They completely remove dissolved oxygen from the feedwater, protecting metal surfaces from destructive and rapid pitting corrosion.

  • Αναστολείς Διάβρωσης: They are used in both boilers and closed or open cooling circuits. They create a strong, invisible protective film (passivation) on metals (iron, copper, aluminum, etc.), shielding the system against oxidation and corrosion.

  • Βιοκτόνα & Αλγοκτόνα: They are absolutely essential for the hygiene and safety of open-loop systems (e.g., cooling towers). They effectively combat the growth of microorganisms, bacteria (including Legionella), algae, and fungi. They prevent the formation of biofouling, which clogs systems and causes microbiologically induced corrosion.

  • pH & Alkalinity Regulators: Products added to maintain the system’s water within strictly specified chemical limits. Proper pH adjustment is vital to prevent both acid corrosion of the piping system and the formation of stubborn alkaline scale.
